Senior Education Technologist at Christie Hospital NHS Foundation Trust

Gateway-C is an on-line platform which delivers high quality education to support GPs and primary care staff in the early diagnosis of cancer.  We are looking for a highly creative educational technologist to ensure that our education remains highly accessible, creative and innovative.

We are looking for a highly motivated and creative team member of our Technology Enhanced Learning team in the maintenance and development of learning on Gateway-C.   This is an important role to support our lead educationalists in ensuring that the learning developed as part of Gateway-C retains its innovation and quality and, most importantly, continues to be relevant to the needs of primary care staff.

We are looking for a talented individual who is highly motivated and passionate about the use of technology in education.  You will support our team of GPs, patients, clinicians and educationalist in developing high quality innovative learning objects. We need you to have a ‘can-do’ approach and an ability to think quickly, positively and creatively.

You will also be a member of the wider Christie School of Oncology team, with its comprehensive, and wide ranging, educational programme which meets the needs of all health care professionals working in cancer care, research and treatment.

You should be experienced in the production of e-learning resources which are engaging and enhance the online learning experience, as well as evaluating and implementing emerging technologies.  You should have experience and knowledge of Virtual Learning Environments, including the development of on-line content,  and an understanding of methods of teaching and delivery.
