The Cancer Research UK Cancer Therapeutics Unit, within the Division of Cancer Therapeutics, is a multidisciplinary ‘bench to bedside’ centre, comprising around 160 staff dedicated to the discovery and development of novel therapeutics for the treatment of cancer. 

A Scientific Officer is required by the Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics group to work alongside other members of the team on the pharmacology of new anticancer drugs. The successful candidate should have mass spectrometry experience with a desire to develop novel analytical methods to evaluate metabolic and pharmacokinetic properties of novel agents. Experience in instrument maintenance and troubleshooting is desirable. Ability to work flexibly to deliver to deadlines is essential. 

This is an ideal opportunity for enthusiastic, committed analyst to make an important contribution to improved therapies for cancer patients, while gaining experience and training in drug discovery skills in an institute with a track record of success. Appointments will be for 2 years in the first instance.
