Salary in the range of £24,285 – £28,936 per annum

The University of Bolton are looking to recruit a talented individual to the role of Report Writer, sitting within the Student Data Management team. The team is responsible for the management, integrity and reporting of all manners of student data across the organisation.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience using Microsoft Report Builder 3.0 and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) as a tool to generate reports from large and complex databases. In addition, experience using other methods of generating reports will also be required, for example Microsoft Excel and Access.
The role will be instrumental in ensuring that the University business intelligence tools are managed and developed to remain fit for purpose. As a result the candidate will need to be a proactive individual with the ability to identify and apply potential improvements to SSRS reports and advise where the use of SSRS could be used to improve business processes.
Experience communicating complex issues to a wide variety of audiences, up to and including senior management level is also an essential part of the role.
Experience working in higher education and the use of student record systems is not essential but would be an advantage.
