Barts Cancer Institute Centre for Experimental Cancer Medicine

Applications are sought for a Quality Assurance Manager to provide specialist advice to the CECM and participating centres on national and international standards for the conduct of clinical trials. The post will be based in the Centre for Experimental Cancer Medicine, Barts Cancer Institute, within the Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary, University of London.

Essential requirements for this post include significant clinical research experience within an NHS/University setting. The post holder must have a biological degree or equivalent experience, extensive knowledge of NHS Research Governance as well as significant experience in developing SOPs and system guidelines and reports. Previous audit experience of clinical trials would be an advantage. A demonstrated ability to work autonomously, excellent communication skills including good presentation and technical writing skills also essential.

This is a full time post for four years in the first instance. Starting salary will be in the Grade 5 Professional range of £36,677 to £43,152 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. The Barts Cancer Institute requires applicants to provide all certificates at interview to confirm their qualifications (specified in the Job Description).

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
