A strong publication record, successful track record of income generation and experience of supervising doctoral students are all essential as is the ability to contribute to the research mentoring of staff.
About the Role
We are seeking to appoint two Professors to lead activity in the areas of Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Computer Games/Graphics, Robotics, AI, Cyber Security or Systems & Software Engineering. You will strengthen the Department’s presence and reputation and will complement existing areas of expertise in disruptive technologies, data analytics and visualisation. The successful applicants will contribute to the teaching of UG and/or PG programmes, lead the Department’s research activity, and contribute, as appropriate, to the academic administration of the Department.
Specifically, applications are welcomed from candidates with specialist knowledge in any of the following areas:
- Augmented reality, virtual reality, mixed reality
- Computer games, computer graphics, computer visualisation
- Security, network Security, cybersecurity
- Artificial intelligence, robotics
- Systems & software engineering with potential interests in the areas of e-health, m-health, digital health, complex systems, disruptive technologies, cyber physical systems, embedded systems
