The Schools & Colleges Liaison Service (SCLS) sits within the Student Recruitment Directorate, which has institution-wide responsibility for undergraduate recruitment and outreach in the UK. SCLS works to build and nurture strong partnerships with schools, colleges and other agencies. It offers information, advice and guidance about higher education to young people and their parents, gives presentations to a variety of audiences in schools and colleges, and represents and promotes the University of Hull to prospective students at recruitment events nationally.
The role will involve assisting with school and college visits both on and off campus, engaging with and informing young people about higher education. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills; will be an efficient administrator with good IT skills and also a reliable and willing team player. There will be the expectation of some experience of working with young people and flexibility in occasional working evenings at key times to support these activities.
