Liaison Librarian (Health and Life Sciences)

We are seeking to appoint a highly skilled and motivated individual to join the Library’s Academic Liaison, Special Collections, Archives & Heritage section in the capacity of Liaison Librarian. In this role you will directly contribute to the enhancement of the student experience and the research profile of the University.

You will initially take responsibility for liaison with Medicine and Dentistry in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences. The successful candidate will have the confidence and enthusiasm to work effectively with academic, library and other Professional Services colleagues to contribute to the University’s success. You will have a degree (or equivalent qualification) and be a professionally qualified librarian with experience of collaborative working in a busy service environment. Knowledge and experience of the relevant subject areas would be an advantage. You will show an awareness of current developments in delivering information services in academic libraries and a commitment to continual professional development. You will demonstrate a flexible approach to work, practical problem-solving ability and excellent communication skills. The post is available for 12 months.
