Lecturer/Senior Lecturer Information Systems Strategy at Manchester Metropolitan University

Do you have extensive industry experience of Information Systems Strategy or a proven record of publication in the field? Are you ready to teach in some of our highest-profile degrees?

Who We Are

Manchester is one of the most extensive higher education centres in Europe and the most popular city for students in the UK. We are at the heart of it, delivering cutting-edge skills to people from 120 countries – 94% of whom go into work or further study within six months of graduating. Since 2006, we have invested £350 million into our exceptional campus to deliver our vision of being the best modern university, and we continue to achieve and innovate every day.

Where You’ll Work:

Our Faculty of Business and Law has an international reputation for delivering high quality teaching and research. We strongly value commercial collaboration, teaching innovation and thought leadership in research, and we employ experts in a wide range of disciplines. Our record of peer-reviewed publications speaks for itself, and we offer a broad spectrum of undergraduate, postgraduate, professional and commercial programmes, including sector-leading degree apprenticeships, delivering exceptional employability and critical thinking skills. At the heart of the Faculty, the Information Systems team is a high-calibre group of research academics focusing on the provision of cutting-edge teaching and learning in IS across a range of programmes.

About The Role:

Programme growth and a number of retirements mean we need to appoint two world-class academics to deliver high quality teaching and learning in Information Systems Strategy. Your remit will span a number of high-profile courses, including our BSc in Business Technology and the sector-leading Digital and Technology Solutions degree apprenticeship, so you can expect an extremely high profile.

About You:

If you do not hold a PhD in a relevant field, you will be keen to gain this qualification, and you will certainly be an experienced lecturer with a proven record of delivering high-quality tuition and mentoring. Ideally you will be experienced in publishing research in peer-reviewed journals; however, we value recent industry experience equally. Above all, you will bring a fresh and incisive vision and be ready to contribute to both our academic development and international research profile.
