We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, committed and experienced professional to join a small, enthusiastic and highly successful team to deliver our Undergraduate and Postgraduate Primary Initial Teacher Education programmes. We are working with school partners to develop new employment routes into teaching and the successful candidate will play a key role in developing and supporting creative delivery models for this provision.
The trainees will be spread across a broad geographical area and the ability to travel to support trainees in schools across the country is essential, as is the ability to teach modules utilising a blended learning approach which includes face to face teaching in residential intensive study weeks during the programme, webinars, online tutorials, e-portfolio development and the preparation and monitoring of self-study resources housed on the VLE. The ability to work flexibly will be an expectation of the post.
The ability to liaise with colleagues in a range of institutions will be an essential requirement in order to support the trainees’ professional development during their school based training; support school based mentors to enhance consistency of provision; share good practice and contribute to the continuing development of our partnerships with schools and employers.
The successful candidate will be experienced teacher with a passion for and commitment to the development of the next generation of teachers. They will be able to model outstanding practice and use their experience to inform and guide trainees to become excellent practitioners.
