The appointment will be on UCL Grade 7/8. The salary range will be Grade 7: £38,581 – £41,864 per annum. Grade 8: £43.023 – £50,753 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.

We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer to play a key role in our research and teaching programmes. The successful candidate will act as a module leader, undertake student supervision and possibly act as UCL IEDE coordinator for our MEng Engineering and Architectural Design programme. In addition the postholder will engage in funded research projects and publications in one or more of the Institute’s research areas.
The position will be available from 1 August 2018.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate expertise relating to the development of interdisciplinary solutions to the global problems of designing, constructing and managing sustainable environments within and around buildings. They should hold a PhD in a subject relevant to a research area in the job description, or extensive experience commensurate with a PhD. Relevant areas of expertise include climate based daylight modelling; light and human vision simulation; health impacts of lighting; lighting for performance and performativity; lighting technology for ageing population; building controls for health and performance; machine learning for built environment; artificial intelligence for built environment. The ability to deliver and develop programmes of teaching is essential.
To be considered for appointment at Grade 8 the successful candidate must have a significant research portfolio with experience of acquiring research funding.
