The School of Histories, Languages and Cultures wishes to appoint a permanent, teaching and research lecturer in Chinese Film Studies. This appointment represents a significant investment in Modern Languages at Liverpool and is framed with respect to the department’s ambitious future plans and reflects the strategic development of departmental, school, faculty and university research priorities.

You will have a PhD in Film Studies, Chinese Studies, or a relevant related discipline and a growing record of publications of international excellence in Chinese film and related fields. Experience of teaching in Higher Education at undergraduate level is essential; experience of course design and of teaching at postgraduate level are desirable.
