Based at Statebourne Cryogenics, Washington, Tyne & Wear you will lead a Knowledge Transfer Partnership project to embed within Statebourne Cryogenics the required knowledge and understanding to enable the business to utilise LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) as an energy source for micro grid (off grid) electric power generators, with a particular focus on emerging markets and their requirements. Candidates with a PhD in the research area of energy systems with experience in energy management techniques together with experience in LNG and the analysis of data and business case development are preferred. Suitable candidates with an MSc will be considered.

The KTP Associate will be an employee of Newcastle University but will spend most of their working time at the company’s premises in Washington, Tyne & Wear. Although the contract is fixed-term for a duration of 2 years, more than 70% of KTP staff are made a permanent job offer by their KTP company.
