Head of Disease Surveillance and Investigation Branch at Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute (AFBI)

LOCATION: Stoney Road, Belfast

AFBI is seeking to appoint a Head of the Disease Surveillance and Investigation Branch to lead, manage and inspire excellence across the work of the Branch. The Branch provides a passive animal disease surveillance service for Northern Ireland on behalf of DAERA, along with specialist advice on associated animal health issues. It also undertakes increasing volumes of commercial animal health testing and delivers applied research typically in association with other AFBI branches.

This is a senior leadership position requiring the vision and ambition to manage staff, to delivery high quality services to customers and to drive the growth of the Branch.

Further appointments may be made from this competition should AFBI positions become vacant which have similar duties and responsibilities.
