Fire Safety Officer at Royal Holloway, University of London

Applications are invited for the post of Fire Safety Officer in the College’s Health and Safety Office. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced fire safety professional to play a key role in continuing to develop the College’s fire strategy.

Reporting to the Director of Health and Safety, you will be responsible for providing advice on the requirements for fire safety across the full range of College activities, including an extensive Estate capital projects investment programme.

To succeed you will be a suitably qualified and experienced fire safety professional who possesses an up-to-date knowledge and understanding of the requirements of fire safety legislation, with a pragmatic approach to its implementation. Significant practical experience of fire risk assessments and advising on and implementing fire safety protection measures in a large complex organisation is also essential to the role. Good communication and inter-personal skills with an ability to converse with a diverse range of people at all management levels is also required.

This is a Part Time, Permanent post working 21 hours per week.
