Evaluating the Risk to Product Integrity and Downstream Purification at University of Sheffield

You’ll join an established, active research laboratory working in partnership with bioindustry and will receive an advanced training in technologies relevant to biopharmaceutical manufacturing. And you’ll have access to expertise and world-class research facilities here at the University of Sheffield and that of our partner companies. In fact we’ve invested £3.5 million in 2017 to new research facilities in the Department. You’ll become part of the research engine of the Department, bringing your innovation and your creativity. Your education here will be at one of the UK’s leading Departments for Biological Engineering.

Applications are invited from UK and EU nationals who have, or expect to be awarded an upper second or first class honours degree (or the equivalent) in molecular bioscience, (bio)chemical engineering or a related discipline. Candidates with an appropriate Master’s degree are also eligible to apply.

Successful candidates will receive an enhanced living allowance of £18,777 per annum for 3.5 years, which includes £4,000 per annum from the industrial partner. Funding for university tuition fees and experimental consumables is provided by research studentship sponsors.
