Leeds Beckett University is ambitious and resurgent. A large, modern university with campuses in Leeds City Centre and the mainly residential suburb of Headingley, our income is now in excess of £200m.
We are fully committed to student success, research, innovation and enterprise with a global reach and strong local impact. Key to our offering is the physical estate and the facilities provided for our students, staff and visitors. With a reinstatement value in excess of £500m, these assets serve a University population of around 3,000 staff and most importantly 28,000 students from over 100 countries.
This is a newly created, senior appointment reporting directly to the new Director of Estates. Your remit will be to provide effective leadership, management and strategic direction to the Property Assets Team and assume responsibility for all aspects of hard facilities management (FM), general estate management and environmental management. You will be the University’s expert and professional lead in all matters relating to property assets and play a major role in ensuring that the University buildings and infrastructure are managed and maintained to the highest possible standard.
Applicants should have an estates-related professional qualification (RICS, CIOB, BIFM, or equivalent) and considerable experience in a leadership position involved in the management and operation of large, complex estates. Key to your success will be your people skills; influencing, negotiating and driving an agenda that matches our ambition.
