The Alumni Relations Office is seeking a committed and enthusiastic team player to join its busy, vibrant and customer facing team. The Alumni Records and Data Assistant will be responsible for ensuring that the College’s alumni records are kept up to date and relevant, in line with data regulations. This role involves updating records, inputting and extracting information from the divisional database (Raiser’s Edge), analysing data and compiling reports for senior members of staff and the Alumni Relations team, as well as working on a range of cross team projects.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Ensuring quick, reliable and accurate processing of alumni records into Raiser’s Edge.
- Contributing to the divisional data quality and management plan and implement this in your own area.
- Identifying opportunities to improve the quality and accuracy of data in coordination with the Advancement Operations team
- Carrying out analysis of a range of alumni data (e.g. producing country profiles).
- Providing a high standard of customer service for alumni seeking to access online services and membership of our social media groups and platforms.
It’s anticipated that you will also participate in certain other alumni engagement activities, including key events such as the annual flagship event, Alumni Weekend at Imperial Festival.
The overarching strategy of Advancement is to raise funds for scholarships, academic positions, research centres and capital projects, securing private financial support from those who are committed to our academic mission and building Imperial’s global reputation. The Alumni Relations Office is part of the Advancement Division. Imperial has more than 195,000 alumni, forming an international community of outstanding scientists, engineers, medical professionals and business leaders. Alumni have a crucial role to play in the College’s long term success, and also benefit from a global, vibrant and connected community. This is a high impact and high visibility division which relies on extremely motivated and skilled administration professionals to ensure the smooth running of the Division.
In order to excel in this role, you will have excellent attention to detail and accuracy, and possess a demonstrated ability to extrapolate and manipulate large data sets for analysis and reporting. You will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain solid working relationships at all levels internally and externally
This role will utilise to the fullest your previous experience of working with large relational databases, gained in a position such as Membership and Database Administrator, Membership Records Assistant, Data Analyst, or similar.
